Terry J Stigall  > Underwater > Cozumel - Spring 2012
In October 2011 I was in Cozumel when hurricane Rina was fast approaching. I and my friends were able to get out just before Rina (which was downgraded to a tropical storm) hit the island. Nine of us were able to return to Cozumel in May 2012 to finish up our interrupted dive trip. What a trip it was too. I love diving in Cozumel. The current never stops in Cozumel. All dives are drift dives. Consequently, unless you can find a place to tuck into or behind, all underwater photography is done with a current in your face. This trip though was magical. We all got a lot of great shots and some interesting subjects. There seemed to be a lot of turtles, seahorses, and spider crabs this time. There were, of course, Queen Angelfish, Snappers, and Barracuda around too. I hope you enjoy looking through this album as much as I enjoyed diving and taking the shots you see now. As always, let me know what you think.

Hawksbill turtle
Blue Chromis - a 3-4 inch fish with an attitude.
Anemone Shrimp - they are about an inch long.
Coney...bi-color phase. Coney's are not afraid of you if you approach slowly...in fact, they are very curious fellows and will often stare you down like this one did.
This Brittle Star was on some sort of red sponge on the side of a wreck...great contrast
